Rotest in Darband Against Inflation, Fuel Prices, and Gas Shortage

A large احتجاج (protest) was held in Darband against rising inflation, increasing petrol prices, and long hours of gas suspension. The protest started from Central Jamia Masjid Madni Adda Darband, where a large number of citizens gathered and raised strong slogans against the government.

The protest was led by Khateeb Hazara, Mujahid Khatm-e-Nabuwwat, and central leader of Jamiat (Nazriati), Maulana Qazi Gul Rehman Nikkial. Other key participants included well-known lawyer and District General Secretary Sajid Ali Khan Advocate, Senior Vice Ameer Dr. Ubaid ur Rehman Awan, Maulana Qari Muhammad Afzal Alvi, former Nazim Ishtiaq Ahmed Awan, and several other leaders.

Among the participants were District Information Secretary Sahibzada Maulana Qazi Zia ur Rehman Nikkial, District Ameer Maulana Mufti Babar Al-Hussaini, Qari Muhammad Yousaf, Haji Muhammad Javed Khan, Haji Murtaza Khan Tanoli, Maulana Asif Adil Khan, Qari Aurangzeb Nikkial, Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, Allama Aziz ul Haq, Zubair Ahmed Siddiqui, Qari Asad Ullah Khan, and Hafiz Mustajab Ahmed Usmani.

During their speeches, the speakers said that inflation has made life extremely difficult for the common people. Continuous increases in petrol prices and prolonged gas shortages have badly affected both household and business activities. They demanded that the government must take immediate steps to control inflation, reduce petroleum prices, and ensure uninterrupted gas supply.

The speakers also warned that if public issues are not resolved quickly, the scope of protests will expand further. Protesters were holding placards and banners with slogans against inflation.
