“T20 World Cup: 29 players selected for Kakul camp”
Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim, after reversing their decision to retire from international cricket, will join Usman Khan and 26 other players at the Kakul fitness camp ahead of the T20 World Cup starting in June. This camp, held in Abbottabad with support from the Pakistan Army, will run from March 26 to April 8.
The focus of the camp is to prepare players for upcoming matches, including T20I series against New Zealand and Ireland, and matches in England. It aims to build team spirit and improve players’ physical and mental strength.
Experienced trainers will oversee the players’ fitness routines, aiming to boost their agility, leadership, and overall performance on the field.
This announcement follows the formation of a new national selection committee comprising seven members, including former cricketers like Mohammad Yousuf and Wahab Riaz.
Among the players attending the camp are Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi. The camp will provide an opportunity for players to hone their skills and get in top shape for the challenges ahead in international cricket.
