Surprise Visit by Provincial Minister Arshad Ayub Khan Five TMA Khanpur Officers Suspended
Khanpur: On receiving public complaints, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Minister for Local Government, Arshad Ayub Khan, paid a surprise visit to the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) office in Khanpur. During the visit, he found several officers absent from duty and directed the department to take immediate action.
Following the Minister’s instructions, the Local Council Board — operating under the Local Government, Elections and Rural Development Department — suspended five officers for absenteeism and negligence of official duties.
According to the official notification, the suspended officers include TMO Khanpur Ayesha Tahir, TO (R) Faisal Abbasi, TO (F) Aamir Khan, TO (I) Muhammad Javed, and Sub-Engineer Talha Hussain. The charges against them involve violation of official instructions, obstruction in administrative affairs, and unauthorized absence.
During the suspension period, alternate staff members have been assigned to handle their responsibilities. Additionally, the Deputy Secretary (Monitoring & Evaluation) of the Local Council Board has been instructed to complete the inquiry within seven days and submit a report.
