Who is Talha Chahour The New Rising Star

Chahour was born and raised in Rahim Yar Khan, Pakistan. He belongs to a Punjabi Muslim family and is the youngest of six siblings. His father, Akhtar Chahour, is a lawyer and a member of the Punjab Bar Council, currently serving as Chairman Human Rights Committee. Talha moved to Lahore when he was fifteen years of age to study at the Government College University, Lahore. He graduated in political science in 2018

Education

Talha did his BS in Political Sciences from Government College University Lahore in 2019. Talha Chahour became the General Secretary of GCDC (Government College Dramatics Club) in his last year of college, he conducted several acting workshops in GCU’s amphitheater. He was awarded with the Roll of Honour for serving in the GCDC.

Family

He belongs to a Muslim Punjabi family and there is no one else in his family who belongs to the acting industry other than himself. His father’s name is Akhtar Chahour, he is a lawyer and a member of the Punjab Bar Council. He is currently serving as the Chairman Human Rights Committee.

Talha’s mother’s name is not known. He has six siblings and he is the youngest of all. All other siblings belong to different careers.

Early career

After actively participating in the Dramatics Club of his college, Chahour began his career in theatre. He appeared in over 400 theatrical performances with the Ajoka Theater group. Some of his plays include DaraBullahLo Phir Basant AayiTiger of Mysore, Anhi Main Da SufnaMacbeth and Bhagat Singh. Chahour also travelled with this theatre group to the United States and India, performing in several cities.

Breakthrough and Television debut

After making his television acting debut with a supporting role in 2017 with the PTV Home production Farz, Chahour’s big breakthrough performance on television came in December 2021 with Haissam Hussain’s political thriller Jo Bichar Gaye which was based on the fall of Dhaka. Chahour played the protagonist, Capt. Z. I. Farrukh, on whose memoirs the series was based. Jo Bichar Gaye is Hussain’s second historical drama following Dastaan and earned Chahour critical appreciation along with a nomination for Best Emerging Talent in TV at the Lux Style Awards. A reviewer from Dawn Images praised his performance stating, “Chahour’s undeniable screen presence brings to mind the classic heroes of the past.”

The Lead roles of Acting

Chahour starred in Hum TV’s Wabaal in late 2022, playing the role of Faraz opposite Sarah Khan. He then appeared on GeoTV in Haseeb Hassan and Umera Ahmad’s Jannat Se Aagay as the simple but honest Farooq alongside Ramsha Khan, Kubra Khan and Gohar Rasheed. Chahour’s next play was Syed Wajahat Hussain’s Mannat Murad. It was written by Nadia Akhtar and Chahour essayed the title role of Murad opposite Iqra Aziz who appeared as Mannat.

Marital Status

Talha is single at the moment and has no plans of getting married in the near future. He’s main focus is his career right now.
