Gas blast kills 8 miners in Balochistan.

A gas explosion in a private coal mine in Khost, 80 km east of Quetta, has left several people trapped. Rescue efforts are underway, with some already rescued and four still awaiting help. There are concerns for the trapped workers’ safety, but rescue teams are striving to reach them. Government mining and disaster management teams are on-site, along with other officials.

These incidents are frequent in Pakistani mines due to hazardous gases, often leading to mine collapses. Unfortunately, working conditions in Pakistani mines are risky, and safety standards are inadequate.
