Yahya Afridi took oath as Justice of Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: The new Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi has taken oath of office.

The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace, where President Asif Ali Zardari administered the oath of office of Chief Justice of Pakistan to Justice Yahya Afridi.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, chiefs of the three armed forces, Speaker National Assembly, judges of the Supreme Court, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti, Chief Minister Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, Governor Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, Governor Punjab Salim Haider, important personalities including federal ministers participated.

Apart from this, Supreme Court Justice Ayesha Malik and Justice Athar Manullah also participated in the swearing-in ceremony.
It should be noted that after the approval of the 26th constitutional amendment, the special committee of the parliament nominated Justice Yahya Afridi for the post of Chief Justice.
