Rawalpindi Police registered a case against 112 students who protested despite Section 144. 

According to the Rawalpindi Police, a case has been registered against 112 students who protested despite the implementation of Section 144 in the past days, while more than 1,000 unknown persons have also been named in the case. 

According to the FIR, a police officer was also injured during the students’ protest, the protesters vandalized, set fire and interfered with the government. Also read this

CPO Rawalpindi Khalid Hamdani has said that there will be no concessions from the arsonists, the police arrested more than 350 protesters during the riot. 

The CPO said that 12 special teams comprising senior officers have been formed while those spreading mischief on social media are also being identified. 

On the other hand, the Punjab government has announced the closure of all public and private educational institutions across the province today.

According to the spokesperson of the Federal Board, the HSSC exams have also been postponed today and the exams for overseas students have also been postponed while the new date of the exams will be announced later. 

Apart from this, in view of the protest in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Metrobus service will remain closed today.
