Gandapur Faces Charges Lahore Police File Case Under Anti-Terrorism Act
The Lahore police have filed a case against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, charging him under 13 provisions, including the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA). This follows violent incidents near the Sialkot Interchange as he was on his way to a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally on September 21, which the government labeled as ineffective.

During the rally, police disrupted the event by cutting off the microphone and lights, forcing party leaders to leave. Gandapur, who was leading a convoy with rescue vehicles, arrived late but addressed supporters briefly.
Videos on social media later showed him breaking a truck window with a rifle. The FIR alleges that he led an armed mob that threatened to set vehicles on fire and resisted police with an AK-47, injuring two officers. Gandapur has refused to apologize for previous remarks made at an Islamabad rally and announced upcoming PTI events in Mianwali and Rawalpindi.
