Saeed Sheikh Honored with One World Award 2024
Saeed Sheikh, President of the Houston-Karachi Sister City Association, has been awarded the One World Award 2024 for his exceptional philanthropic work and leadership. He is the first Pakistani-American and South Asian to receive this honor.
The award was presented by Susan Young, President of the Sister City Associations, during the annual One World Concert at St. Thomas University in Houston. The event was attended by various diplomats, including Congressman Al Green and businessman Syed Javed Anwar, who congratulated Sheikh on his achievement.

Congressman Green also honored Sheikh with a Congressional Certificate of Recognition, praising his valuable contributions to the community. Sheikh has received multiple awards, including the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.
In his speech, Green described Sheikh as “an angel in human form” and noted his strong ties to his homeland and culture. Upon receiving the award, Sheikh expressed gratitude, stating it strengthens his commitment to humanitarian service.
