PTI will protest today because they think the elections were not fair.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) plans to protest today because they believe the results of the February 8 elections were delayed and rigged. They’ve chosen different spots to hold peaceful protests, shared by PTI leader Hammad Azhar on social media.
In central Punjab, protests will happen at 10 places, including the Lahore Press Club and Masjid Chowk Kasur. In north Punjab, demonstrations will take place at places like F-9 Park in Rawalpindi and the Election Commission office in Jhelum. In south Punjab, rallies are planned in cities like Multan and Bahawalpur.
PTI condemns what it calls ‘unprecedented electoral fraud
However, the Islamabad administration refused PTI permission to protest in the city due to concerns about public safety. They’ve enforced Section 144, urging people to avoid political gatherings. The police will ensure compliance and swiftly act against any unauthorized demonstrations to maintain peace and order.
