Indian military sources claim she accused officers from the Western Command and HQ 9 Corps, but the army has denied the harassment and suicide attempt allegations. They stated she had superficial wounds and was hospitalized for treatment.
This incident occurred four days after she was suspended for 90 days on July 9 by the Deputy General Officer Commanding Headquarters 40 Artillery Division, who had accused her of various shortcomings.
